(1893-1981) Брэдли, Омар НельсонГенерал, участник второй мировой войны. Окончил Уэст-Пойнт [ West Point] в 1915, в 1941 бригадный генерал [ Brigadier General], командовал 2-м армейским корпусом США в Северной Африке в 1943; принимал участие во вторжении войск США на Сицилию [ Baedeker Invasion]. В конце войны командовал 12-й группой армий (1,3 млн. человек). В 1945 - полный генерал [ Full General]. В 1948 начальник штаба Сухопутных войск, в 1949-53 - председатель Комитета начальников штабов [Chairman, Joint Chief of Staff] и председатель Военного комитета НАТО.
